mika's online diary

Ever since about 2 years ago, I've always wanted to try my own decoden project, I've been attracted to anything decoden related for quite some time now but never actually got the chance to make one, so! With that being said, one of my new year's resolution, is to try everything I wanted to try out the past couple of years but never got to doing so! And my bby and I went today and we got this simple Macaron Whipple Kit~

Got this at Toys R Us for about 650 php!~ Was super happy since they had the edition I wanted, I also wanted to buy just the Decoden Cream Whipple, but they didn't have the white version (I really wanted white deco cream), So I decided to just buy this first, since I still needed to practice anyway~

Inside the box you get of course your whipple cream, 4 macaron pieces, 4 keychain straps, and other embellishments that you can add on to your macaron keychains later on!

You also get a postcard as a guide for piping techniques~

Make sure you massage the cream so that you can make sure that it's gonna be liquidy but at the same time kind of solid so it won't be hard to pipe out!

When you open the cap of the bag, there's still a rubber stopper on the bag itself, so you remove it and replace it with the star tip that has a cover as well!

Cover it again if you're not going to use it yet to avoid it becoming dry~

Layout your macaron and start piping! (Make sure you practice first though! lol)

And Voila! my first macaron is finished!

The pink one looked kind of thin, so I added more cream inside later on~ And I still had a ton of cream left over! So I decided to try decodening a phone case!

I used a regular plastic iPhone 6 case, I found 3 cabochons (which to be honest I don't remember where I got them from so decided to use them for practice lol) and the other embellishments left from the macaron project to add on the case!

So I already filed my case down and decided to go with a VERY UGLY piping technique lol

And this was the outcome! haha! I know it's super ugly, but I will make sure the next one I make will be a kawaii one lol

Overall I really enjoyed making these and I definitely recommend you to go get one!

Have fun decodening!

Did you ever walk into a Daiso store and see all these Japanese microwavable food in an aisle? Well I've always wanted to try their Instant Curry or Microwavable curry! I was curious with what it would taste like or how accurate their instants would taste, and how different it would be with like a real cooked curry!

This is the brand I chose! There's two ways to prepare it, one with a microwave, and the other one would be heating it with boiling water. For the microwave, for a 500 W power,, first transfer it to a heat proof bowl, and heat it for 2 minutes. For a 600 W power microwave, do the same with the transfer, then heat it for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Simple right?

Now for this tutorial, I'm gonna be boiling it since I'm kinda lazy to transfer the condiments to a bowl (or rather I didn't know how many WATTS our microwave is... lol)

For this step, prepare a small pot, fill half of it with water, heat it up for about 1-2 minutes, put the packet in, and let it boil for another 3-5 minutes.

Remove the packet using maybe a tong or something, set it aside,  drain the water (BE SURE TO ASK AN ADULT IF YOU'RE YOUNG), and let the packet cool for about 1-2 minutes. (1 minute would be recommendable.)

Prepare a plate with rice on it, cut the packet open and pour the contents!

It's super plenty!! Well the sauce is haha! But there are still potatoes slices, carrot slices, and beef slices included!

Partner it with a glass of water, and a side of sliced fruits and VOILA! Your instant Beef Curry is done!

VERDICT:

♡♡♡♡
  • The taste is great! It actually tastes like my favorite Curry Cup Noodles!
  • It tastes like curry, sweet, and has this slight spicyness
  • The potato and carrot slices were soft, as well as the beef slices
  • There's a lot!!
  • EASY TO MAKE!
The only reason why I didn't give this 5 Hearts is because they could've added more potato, carrot, and beef slices, but overall, this was worth it!
Hopefully this post helped you in deciding whenever walking into Daiso~
Have a great day!!

It's a new year already! 2015 has been a kawaii year, but here's to hoping for a more kawaii 2016! So for my first post in 2016, it's a tutorial on how to save your Purikura's on your phone (HD)! A few people have asked me on how I saved mine since the instructions provided on the Purikura Machine itself is kind of hard to follow, since they're in Japanese and the instructions are like crazy fast, I'll tell you how I got my HD picture!

Like this! I didn't have this scanned, I actually tried scanning the pictures, but they were really not that good in terms of quality~ so! First things first, where to get your Purikura of course!

(from Kawaii PH)

These Purikura Machines are currently available at Kidzoona in Fairview Terraces for 150 php! You get 2 strips for that price after you've taken and designed your photo! There are 4 Purikura machines in the mall and they're all beside each other so you get to choose which one you like!

Me and my boyfriend Mike tried the Me <3 Her Jyoshi! It's kind of overwhelming at first but it's pretty much simple to use! So once you're at the end part, the machine will ask you if you want to save to your phone, and will make you choose 2 photos that you want to save.  You'll get the strip and at the bottom notice an ID number

I covered mine lol! But don't worry! this doesnt mean that you can only save those 2 photos you chose! Technically, they'll be the "free" to save pics! First things first, download the application!

The App name is Puripix and you can DL this in apple store (not sure if they have this for android) it's a free application so no need to worry!

Once that's open, this would pop up! and you need to enter the ID number of the Purikira strip! once entered, it'd take you to a page where you can the chosen photo with a tag "free" on it, and your other photos with a padlock on it!

So go ahead and save the one with the free tag on it, and if you have a credit card or visa debit card, you can buy a ticket worth 0.99$ only and unlock ALL your other photos! which is actually what I did!

I love how it's HD! hihi~ I wasn;t able to unlock all my photos for the second strip (since I forgot to deposit money in my visa debit card) but I was able to save 2 photos! Since you do have 2 ID numbers in 1 strip! So be sure to download all your photos!

Important note: The server will only keep your pictures for 1 week!

So be sure to try to get all your Purikura photos! will be getting mine tomorrow as well! lol

Anyway! so that's how you get your HD copies of your Purikura photos!

Hope this was a bit helpful for you guys!

Happy 2016!

2015 is over (or almost over in some countries~) and personally, it's been a bumpy ride for me! My family and I went through a lot this year but here we are, still standing and happy! I met a lot of new people, went to a lot of new places and got to spend time with my favorite people! Just in the Kawaii PH family alone, I experienced a lot of kawaii events and had a lot of opportunities! My boyfriend and I are going 2 years in just 1 more month! and I had a lot of time for myself as well this 2015~ so I have a lot of things to be thankful for for this specific year!

My family and I had been through one hell of a ride for 2015~ they sticked with me through the bad times (when I was confined and wasn't able to push the Japanese Scholarship in Tokyo...) and as well as celebrated a lot of things with me! I'm thankful that they always support even if they think I'm a little out of the norms~ I love you guys!

Of course this year was special to me because of all the things my Kawaii PH family made me experience! They entrusted me with a lot of responsibilities to help me improve on a lot of things! I really feel lucky that I became a part of this team, I felt more empowered as a kawaii lifestyle blogger, I actually began to like myself more, I try to be more positive, became more confident and of course I loved myself better because of the Kawaii PH family! The Kawaii PH Community got bigger this year and I'm super happy about that! More and more kawaii people are supporting this movement to help empower everyone into being more confident about themselves!

I wrote the Year End special article/report for Kawaii Philippines so please do check it out!

I love you kawaii PH family!

I would never have made it through this year without my best friend, boyfriend, hubby, or whatever I wanna call him! lol! He's stuck with me through busy, boring, tough and happy times! Of course we had our fair share of arguments, but that's what it's all about! He's supported me through all my shenanigans, even if he hasn't gotten any sleep yet (although he is grumpier without any sleep...but he still goes with me lol), He loves me as me and accepted my pretty weird hobbies and interests, my lazy moments, and a whole lot more! Thank you my bby for always being there for me! here's to another year of debates, fun times, and more memories! I love you!, always!

Ah~ it seems like yesterday when 2015 started, but now, it's actually another beginning! Thank you to everyone who made this year worth while! I was able to go through it all because of you! and to the few readers of this blog, this wouldn't even be possible if it weren't for you! my blog turned 1 year last October and I thank you for sticking with me! Hope to see you more in the coming years!

Cheers to another beginning! Hope you all had a wonderful year!

To end this post, aside from sharing my 9 favorite moments for 2015~ I'm gonna share your favorite 9 moments (based on instagram lol) THANK YOU ALL!

Cardcaptor Sakura is one of my ALL time favorite anime's! It's just so adorable, amazing, fun, and at the same time very heartwarming! I really love how I grew up with this anime, and that my collection for this specific show is increasing! I've been collecting/purchasing items that are CCS and adding them to my collection! For my newest addition, my boyfriend got me this iPhone 6 case as one of his Christmas presents for me!

As you can see it just looks amazing! It's both elegant and Kawaii at the same time! The details are amazing and it's on point~ the clow key is also included to add to the feel of the case.

Even the spine of the book has it's title written so accurately!

The lock is magnetic and is gold plated (not real gold ofc..duh lol) and the back is more detailed! I so love this case!

The inside is made of some sort of velvet-y, suade, leather and as you can see, there's a compartment on the back cover, and another pocket underneath it~ if you look closely, you can see Kero-chan and the CCS logo engraved in the pocket!

Closer look at kero-chan! the stitches are absolutely amazing!

Overall I really love this case! It's looks super nice on my phone! For those who are curious, as far as I know, this case is only CURRENTLY available for iPhone 5/5s/6/6s/6+/6s+ ONLY~
you can pre-order them at http://rainbowholic-shop.com/

Thanks for reading this mini review and hope you like it!

I watched it live and waited for Kaila to appear haha! it was a super cute episode! Kaila even introduced the Kawaii PH Book! woot!
