mika's online diary

henlow everyone! Welcome back to another blog! This is a little different compared to my usual blog posts, but! I am happy to do my current Animal Crossing New Horizons House Tour! (and a bit of my island as well lol) I've been playing Animal Crossing since the DS era so having them release the New Horizons on Switch is just.... yeah... this just made me super happy!  I noticed that Animal Crossing New Horizons is pretty much in  craze now, even people who never played Animal Crossing games started playing this one mainly because of the Quarantine and lock downs all over the world, so I think they released this game in good timing, more friends to play with! Super happy!

Anyway! Let's start with the tour!

This is my house! (my boyfriend visited my island lol) I just went with the simple black roof and just added a few flowers on the side to add a little bit of homey feel to it! And of course I have a dog house lol

Before touring you guys inside the house, just wanted to share the area near my home! My island's fruit is actually pears, but I'm able to plant the rest of the fruits, apples, oranges, cherries, and peaches, and of course coconuts!

My island's name is lilycove by the way, based on a city from the Pokemon games (Ruby and Sapphire)

Moving on to my house tour!

This is the living room! I seriously could not decide on what theme to go with, I wanted to go for a Kawaii, Pink magical girl theme, or BL theme, Pokemon Theme, Anime/Otaku themed house, I had a hard to deciding, so I just went for a simple and plain aesthetic home lol

I have pets as mentioned earlier lol I have a dog house outside, a cat tower, hamster, and fish tank in the living room. I have a few instruments as well, and adding plants in the house really adds a relaxing vibe to it!

Next room...

My favourite room inside the house... my Kitchen! I'm still missing like the real cooking station/burners, so I just set it up like this for the meantime lol

But! my bathroom is actually funnier because...

There's an onsen inside my bathroom haha! I don't have a bathtub yet, or like a shower area, so I just made this into like a jacuzzi for now haha!

I have a few items like the towel rack, bathroom sink, toilet, and just added a few things to make it look a little less empty!

And last but not the least... my bedroom!
Again, couldn't decide on a single theme, so I just went for that classic wood/white/cream/warm color aesthetic. I'm still planning on upgrading the look of my house/interior of my room, but for now, I am pretty happy with how I was able to build this!

But! If you want to see the place/my island... I actually made a video as well for my youtube channel!

Feel free to watch this video as well in case you guys want to see!
I know this is a tough time for everyone, this pandemic is hitting everyone hard, I can only pray for everyone to be safe and healthy! I know the circumstances differ depending on where you are from, but hopefully you all are properly taken care off by your country...
Keep safe everyone and thanks so much for reading!
Otsu!

Growing up, I was never really the type of girl who was into make up, girly things, or anything "normal" girls are into, I was more of an introvert type, watching Anime at home, never really cared what I looked like, but ever since I started working, I became more conscious of my overall appearance, and started appreciating make up in a different way. Before I thought that make up was there to change your appearance, be someone you're not, and it was just for boys to think you're pretty, but now I've realized that its a different form of art, and its for you and you alone. (still not good at putting on make up tho FYI lol)

I've been wanting to purchase from a brand where their Philosophy is to enhance your current beauty instead of concealing or trying to change something, and that's what GLOSSIER. is all about!
"Skin First, Make up Second" - their products are focused on skin care and how to enhance your natural beauty!

When you go to their website, you'll see that the models are women of color, so it means their products would work on any race/color, and at the same time, you'll find that the models barely have any make up on, if you're into the "No make up" make up look, then this brand is for you! They are all about the dewiness

Be naturally beautiful! As you can see the models in their website are not full glammed when it comes to make up~ feel free to visit their website and purchase!

With that being said, I did buy stuff for myself!
  • Glossier. Cherry Balm Dot Com

From Glossier Website:
Balm Dotcom
Our cult favorite do-everything skin salve.
A hydrating, long-lasting, multipurpose lip balm and skin salve that’s packed with antioxidants and natural emollients to nourish and repair dry, chafed skin. The dense, waxy texture stays in place to seal in moisture wherever it goes. Opt for Original, or choose from five mood-enhancing flavors: Birthday (inspired by Milk Bar’s famous cake, with subtle shimmer), Rose (with a barely-there pink tint), Cherry (with a sheer, juicy red tint), Mint, and Coconut. The lip-smacking 11-year-old in you is freaking out right now. Collect them all!

The Cherry Balm Dot Com is a universal Skin salve that you can put anywhere! but since I got the cherry one (one of their newer flavors) this does have a little bit of tint to it, which I prefer since I just want to add color to my lips most of the time~

Cherry Balm Dotcom
(this specific image is from Pinterest)

This retails for about $12 USD (roughly 625 PHP), of course if you buy it here in the PH it would retail to about 980-1100 PHP because of tax and all that, so buying it from the website itself is cheaper~

  • Glossier. Cloud Paint BEAM
From Glossier website:
Cloud Paint
A new way to blush.
With Cloud Paint, we set out to make blush the high point of your routine. The pillowy, gel-cream formula is designed to be the most user-friendly cheek color in existence. If you can finger paint, you can Cloud Paint—simply dab it onto cheeks wherever you please. It’s seamless, sheer, and buildable (i.e. it’s hard to accidentally apply too much). Inspired by gradient pink NYC sunsets, the shades are optimized to work across a wide range of skin tones for a healthy, flushed-from-within glow.

This adorable seamless cheek color is a fan favorite among beauty gurus! it's really sheer, its easy to blend, the color looks really natural and it gives you a "Sun kissed" look, or the "my cheeks only better" look!

There are actually 4 shades to this series:

And I got the BEAM one because I liked the "flushed look"

Glossier Cloud Paints in Beam, Dusk, Puff and Haze
(this specific image is from http://makeupforlife.net/2017/03/glossier-cloud-paint-review-swatches.html)

This product retails for $18 USD (about 940 PHP), but again buying it here in the PHP this retails to around 1200 - 1400 PHP depending on where you buy it~

And the last Product I got was;

  • Glossier. Lip Gloss
From Glossier website:
Lip Gloss
It’s the Glossiest.
We took everything you love about lip gloss, got rid of everything you don’t, and formulated the perfect Lip Gloss. Our formula gives lips one thing: cushiony, crystal clear shine—no gluey feeling, no stickiness, no grittiness, no glitter. The fuzzy doe-foot applicator glides on a delightfully lightweight layer for a comfortable, glassy finish that won’t disappear after an hour (oooh yeeeah). And because it’s Glossier, your lips stay soft and hydrated thanks to moisturizing Vitamin E. Shine on, friend.

I love this lip gloss! it gives you that healthy, plump, full looking lips, and there's no tingly sensation! I'm not into lip glosses because of that warm-feeling, and tingly sensation, and I'm happy that this product does not have that at all! This is a crystal clear gloss with no added tint, but it's glassy, and classy!

This product retails for $14 USD (730 PHP), again locally priced at around 1100-1200 PHP. But I have to tell you guys, the prices are worth it!

They all came in this pretty and well known Pink Bubble Wrap Glossier pouch!

And another thing I'm really happy  about is they also came with stickers!

Overall, I'd rate these products 10/10 because they are really easy to use and you get what you paid for, quality and quantity all in one!

If you've visited their website, you can see that they only ship within the US, Canada and UK, so I had my auntie who lives in the US ship it over to the PH, Tax wise, retail pricing, and of course time wise it is definitely cheaper. My boyfriend paid for these actually, THANK YOU SO MUCH! <3

You can order these locally if you don't mind the pricing being a little higher than how much it is in their website.

You can buy/order these from BEAUTY MNL, or Make Up Authority PH ; these two are the most recommended sites you can try purchasing these from!

Anyway, thank you so much for reading! Hope you enjoyed!

Magical dreams do come true! Naomi and I went to visit the Rainbow Dreams Cafe in Maginhawa 2 Sundays ago and it was indeed a colorful place full of sparkles and unicorns! Since it is a Unicorn Cafe lol!

It's so dreamy! Naomi and I couldn't stop taking pictures! It was also the first time Naomi and I hung out together, just the 2 of us, outside any Kawaii PH events, she lives in Japan now but she came back for a few weeks so we decided to hang out!

The cafe was really jam packed, we had to wait for about 20 min before we could enter since there was a line, we were third in line and the cafe does not have reservations~ but! it was actually all worth it! The food tasted great, and the price is really affordable!

We ordered 2 milkshakes, pasta, rice, and dessert! Naomi got the Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake, and I ordered the Oreo Milkshake! I think it was priced around 130-150 php each, and it was a huge glass! I got the Unicorn Carbonara, and Naomi got the bbq porkchop with the cute rice! I think they're priced between 180-220 php? I forgot, but they were still pretty affordable! The strawberry waffle was 150php! It was a big share and Naomi and I had to split it since we were both pretty full! If you like sweets, you'll really love it here! Everything was sweet~

Naomi looking all adorable!

We also got the chance to wear real cute Unicorn onesies!

They let you wear one after you eat and pay for the meal, since they don't want the onesies getting dirty~ I think this is a good way to do it, after paying, you can pick a onesie and start taking photos!

This is a spot where you can take photos by the entrance! Naomi and her matching phonecase and onesie!

Thanks for taking photos of me Naomi bby!

And here's the two of us! The first photo in this post we were dabbing! lol

Thank you for reading!
