mika's online diary

Another late update which I really apologize for, I have been super busy recently that the topics that I think of writing about have been piling up and I forget the first one that I thought of, anyway! this post is about the Kawaii PH meeting with the head organizers for Tamashii Convetion to discuss the event and of course the Kawaii Fashion show~ and the members who came with me were the magical sisters Kaye (dolly kaye) and Chichi (littlemisspaintbrush) and we had our meeting at our favorite place, Mothers Crepe and Cafe!

Of course I had to order one of my favorites, the strawberry banana crepe! Ahhh! I miss it now and want to eat one!

We were so busy talking about the event that I forgot to take pictures, so we took A LOT of selfies and OOTD pics after the meeting ended lol!
(of course I won't be posting anything related to the meeting cos' it's a surprise!)

I'm with Irie Kotoko! ohohoho! Kaye looks so much like Kotoko from Mischievous Kiss! And her outfit that time was also inspired by Kotoko!

Chichi and I looked like we're wearing matching skirts, but her black skirt is from Forever21 and my black skirt is from H&M but they look so much alike lol! I'm also wearing the Rainbowholic shirt I got from Kaila!

Kawaii and Talented sisters! I wish I had a sister so we could be all kawaii together huhu!

Anyway! the meeting was super fun and hopefully everyone will visit us at the tamacon!

more updates soon!

I guess it's no surprise to whoever's reading my blog that I love Card Captor Sakura ( I mean who doesn't... cam ahn!) Recently, I have been chatting with Kaila about making the CCS Club a bigger club (whut lol) and that made me want to re-sing the awesome OP songs of the anime itself!
Of course we'll go by the numbering of the OP themes! First up.. Catch you Catch me! which is a classic! This song is pure gold, and here's my pure... non-gold cover of the awesome song!

Again I do apologize for the lame singing in this one, I don't know why I sounded so bored when I'm not lol! but it's really fun to sing this song!

Next up is of course Tobira wo Akete! (one of my faves)
This if I might say, I think I did pretty good on this one lol!

I like my energy in this one! I didn't sound bored at all which of course is much appreciated when you listen to someone else's covers~ haha! plus I really love this song and I find it super catchy!

And last but not least, of course, the last and third OP of the series, Purachina
This is actually a duet I did with my friend Nade, she color coded the lyrics and I mixed it for us~ I will also provide the YT video with a crappy animation which I also made lol

First, I would like to apologize for the second voice/harmony I was doing, it sounded really bland without it so I had to include it! but I actually like how it came out! hihi
and here's the video with animation so that you'll know who's singing!

THE STAGE NAME I USED WAS "CHII" SO IN THE VIDEO YOU'LL SEE "NADE" AND "CHII"

I really love how I edited the video but yeah, lame animation is lame lol!
oh! almost forgot, if you have listened to all CCS songs (by all I mean all the albums) you may have come across one of my fave songs in it, and that would be, Anata to Ireba which is a duet by Sakura and Tomyo and it's just freakin' adorable! so me and Nade decided to duet that one as well!
I made an even lamer video for that one and here it is lol

Since there is no official instrumental for it, I had my friend Raii make the instrumental for me~
Nade took on the role of Sakura and I as Tomoyo cos I love her lol!
THE CUTENESS IN THIS SONG AND COVER WILL MAKE YOU SMILE hopefully
lol!
Just wanted to share the Card Captor Sakura Love!

One of the newest addition to my Toy/Figurine collection, is this super kawaii Sakura Miku! I've decided to start collecting toys again, I have a few figurines but yeah, decided to collect them all again!

I got it at today's Otaku Convention! I actually bought a lot of stuff but this is my favorite, it's a late Christmas present to myself! I'm actually quite lucky because the version that I got was (in my opinion) the best version! The one where Sakura miku is stepping on a Sakura Leaf and holding one as well! (other versions were only does not have any "props" lol)

This was also the last one in stock, I think they only have 1 for each version, I was also supposed to buy a Sailor Moon figurine, but the box was already super old and worn out, of course I want to buy something that still looks brand new including the box!

The Sakura "standee" don't know what you call it, is just super cute! it looks like a small plate and I love the details on it as well!

Ah how pink and cute, I'm a sucker for anything pink or purple, and because of this figurine, it makes me want to play Project Diva again lol

The figurine itself is heavy, which of course I think is better than something that's light and seems hollow, so I'm still not decided whether to display this with the box or without it. It's super cute either way, let me hear your opinion! lol

And lastly on to the final news for today, JapanLover.Me is finally opening...

This is actually a super late post of my 1st attempt in what I'd like to call mini kawaii photo shoot! This was taken last August of 2014 (yeah, see super late post about it) I just recently found out about Kawaii in Manila 2 that time and that they were looking for a Kawaii PH Ambassadress througha photo submission! I had this weird thought of joining (even though I'm not as kawaii as other people) because I was beginning to become more open and confident with the Kawaii lifestyle, so I asked my good friend Venisse to help me take pictures since she's very used to taking photos plus she's also into Kawaii and Anime!

So I went to her place and she did my make up and styled my clothes, I brought a bunch of clothes she could choose from to help me with the shoot and she chose this coordinate, which I absolutely adore!

(p.s we have no idea who owns the bike lol)

As you can see in the first photo, I'm a really awkward person when other people take photos of me, I don't even know how to smile/pose in a kawaii way, and I was super nervous because this was in public, and there were only two of us, plus! it's my first time!

This second photo is even more embarrassing, ven coached me in posing and everything but I seem to "not" deliver on it lol! but I do like how this photo came out, even with the awkwardness. Plus the flowers added a soothing ambiance in the photo!

I know I'm fat and everything but this is actually my favorite photo! lol! even with the weird/dirty background and the weird lighting on my face! not to mention my chubby cheeks and my flat face (by flat meaning there's no shape lol)

I'm really glad though that I didn't send anything to Kawaii PH because it would've been embarrassing! another weird thing is, as you can see, my hair was curled during the photoshoot, and then it became wavy, then after that we went to a milk tea cafe in the neighborhood and decided to rest for a bit, take a couple of selfies

I'm emphasizing the dolly wink eye lash falsies (which was part of the freebies I won/got from the Doll Glam event, which I haven't blogged about as well) and I look mature in this photo!! so this was while we were waiting for our orders to arrive, then of course we ate and drank oishii milk tea then after a couple more selfies... bam!

my hair became straight.. like it was never curled! like what the hell right? the curl didn't even last long, and I guess this is what I don't like about my hair.. I really want curly hair, to me it seems more kawaii but yeah, ain't happenin'

I suddenly became a little young girl who desperately wanted to put make up on and take pictures!
but I actually find this pic a little kawaii, even though I really give out the awkward vibe..

If there are any onee-sans or senpais out there who is willing to sort of coach me into these things, then please email me! lol! micaela@kawaii.ph

I'll soon be blogging about how I entered the Kawaii PH world hopefully to inspire people with the Kawaii lifestyle!
please look forward to it!

This was completely inspired by Kaila's post! (Rainbowholic post)
I thought that maybe I can be more inspiring/ I would be more inspired if I always see that makes me happy! I'm actually the type of person who gets stressed easily, always feeling down, has this negative outlook, to be honest I'm very negative and I give up quickly... Kawaii PH has been very helpful in bringing up my self esteem so I thank them for including me in their team as their blogger/writer/intern~

I'm really looking forward to spending more time with them and of course excited to graduate from being an intern! lol! I can't wait to fully work with them in the future! I also want to express how grateful I am to my boyfriend who has been very supportive of me whenever I have Kawaii PH activities I need to do/ attend to. My family is also slowly supporting me, I guess it's still not as "normal" for them as how I see it

Whenever I think about how my life would be 10 years from now, I see myself very immersed with work in Kawaii PH! we really do plan to make it super big and to have our own store in malls and of course Kaila's dream of opening Rainbowholic Cafe~ I want to help everyone achieve this dream, and that's my dream for now! I hope I can get passed all the stress, negativity, and pitfalls I'm about to face once I enter this field and leave my comfort zone.

So here are the 10 things that make me happy and that I should always remember and use for inspiration!

**************

10 THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY

1.) Spending time with MIKE - I really love spending time with my boyfriend because he makes me feel important, beautiful, and intelligent, and it gives me self confidence especially whenever I feel insecure and doubtful of myself and my skills as an individual! my BF is my hubby, my best friend, and my therapist!

2.) Watching Anime and Reading Manga - Whenever I read or watch manga and anime, depending on the story, I somehow get inspired by it! I'm the type of person who feels like "If she can do it, maybe I can do it too! I will do my best!" whenever I sympathize with a character in the story... So I get pretty down easily, but I'll just watch Anime and BAM! I'm a renewed person, so I'm really a shallow gal~

3.) Blogging and Online shopping - Blogging, helps me rejuvenate in a sense where I write all my experiences, finds, and dreams in a blank sheet of wordpad and I somehow release all the tension and excitement I'm feeling, it's my diary! so I feel very happy whenever I post something and I read it... it's like "wow, never knew I felt this way" kind of de ja vu feeling~ of course OL shopping is one of the best feelings ever! everything is kawaii, unique, no need to try clothes on and wait in line to pay for it, only a few people has the same items as you do, and! it feels great when someone knocks on your door, hands you box and you open it!

4.) Taking Photos of ANYTHING (under the sun) - this pretty much says it all! Taking pictures of things, items, food, people, events/moments and everything that I can save/store I feel happy taking pictures! I know there are some people who are all "people who take pictures of food look stupid" and everything, but you know, me don't care, it makes me happy!

5.) Going to KAWAII Cafes - In line with taking pics to share some of the Kawaii places/cafes and menu included, I love eating there of course! these are the places that have the best ambiance and make you want to hang out with a few friends, enjoy food, take pics and just talk~

6.) Playing games with my babies - OF COURSE NOT A DAY GOES BY WITHOUT ME TURNING ON MY PINK PS VITA OR PINK 3DS XL~ maaaan I love my babies! and the reason why I call them babies, is because my bf also has matching consoles and we bought them together!

7.) SEIFUKUS - Seifuku or Japanese uniform makes me super happy! I've always wanted to wear a full on kawaii seifuku which I have never done, I bought one last year, but it was incomplete, plus the skirt was kind of small... so yeah, never been able to wear a seifuku, someone help me achieve this dream!

8.) Listening to HELLO ! PROJECT songs, and covering Anime/Jpop/Vocaloid songs - This was one of the first few things I did on the internet, cover songs and uploaded them on YT, I actually never knew I could sing songs and even imitate the voices of the singer! if you have time feel free to visit my soundcloud or youtube channel! I love the days when I always covered songs because I met a lot of people, and made a lot of new friends!

9.) Collecting Kawaii Items - who wouldn't be happy collecting something they love!? this brightens up the room, makes me smile, and makes other people smile! it's a win win situation

10.) Sleeping - One of my favorite things to do, SLEEPING. well, who isn't happy when they sleep?

**************

And that's it for my list! I hope anyone who reads this or Kaila's post will also be inspired and make a list and post it on their blogs as well!

P.S I apologize for my lame drawing and the scary totoro and alien my melody lol

I'm super happy and excited to bring forth to everyone, the one and only Rainbowholic box by none other than the Rainbowholic herself! Thank you so much for sending these Kaila! all the items are super kawaii that I don't want to use them!

The presentation of how the items are arranged are also so neat that you would actually don't want to ruin how kaila fixed it in the box! First of all, the box itself is cute and is properly covered with bubble wrap, and there is also a larger separate box where the rainbowholic box is "hidden" lol!

You'll know that it's the rainbowholic box because of the Rainbow tape attached to the outer box itself, once you've opened it, you'll come across the magical rainbowholic box in a wonderful protective sleeve known as the bubble wrap! *that's a plus for me!*

One thing why you'll feel Kaila's love when you receive her box is because she made it as personalized as possible! She hand-drew the box design, included my name in it, plus the box is itself is actually kawaii!

So now, time to introduce the items inside the Rainbowholic Box!

Will use this pouch for my bento when I go to work!

The chocolate is amazziiing~

Look how cute these stickers are! I don't plan to use them by the way lol! they're just adorable!

I also don't want to use the socks because it's just cute!
